In the following modeling seasons, Gale gained fame in 1999, when Omnitel Italy (now Vodafone Italy) cast the actress in ads. Gale continued to be included in ads by the company up to 2006. The Australian Tourist Commission also hired the model in 2003 to serve as the "face of Australia" to be used in Italy. Gale has been featured on the covers of Australian Marie Claire, Grazia, Gioia, Italian and Australian GQ, Italian Maxim, Australian InStyle and featured in editorials for Australian Cosmopolitan as well as Vogue Italia. Gale has worked for Italian designers, including Gianfranco Fere Genny as well as Gai Mattiolo and also on the runways of Mariella Burani Angelo Marani, and Milan Fashion Week. Gale has been a supporter of Australian designers including Colette Dinnigan and Kirrily Johnsonston. Gale made an appearance in a L'Oreal shampoo commercial that was filmed in Australia, New Zealand and Italy.
