The day of his birth, the famous smile of Stallone was caused by a forceps accident. After the incident, a nerve was injured, causing him to have slurred speech. Stallone was a victim of a rough childhood. Stallone and Frank the younger brother were both adversely affected in childhood by the hostile relationships between their parents, that led to divorce. Stallone was in foster care for some in his first years. Stallone was just five when he was shifted by his father to Washington, D.C., and started his own beauty salon. Stallone resided for a while in Maryland alongside his dad following the separation of parents the year 1957. He was a struggle mentally and academically being a victim of bullying, and had to leave various schools.
